Butterflies

The Chilterns are a great place to see butterflies. The Duke of Burgundy and the Chalkhill Blue are just two of the more unusual species that favour the unimproved chalk grasslands.

They can, however, be quite difficult to identify. For that you need a long lens and a lot of patience.
